After some delay, we are proud to introduce you to Angela Dimas, the 2011-2012 award winner!!! Angela is originally from Colombia and finished high school there at the age of 15. She and her family moved to the United States at the end of 2006 and settled in Florida. She spent two years at Florida College, transferred to the University of South Florida for her junior year and is now pursuing a double major in Molecular Biology and Psychology. She has been an active volunteer of Shriners Hospital for Children and the program Big Brothers Big Sisters for the last two years, as well as participating in other community service activities.
Angela's future plan is to become a pediatrician. Her love for helping and serving others has been the main reason for this choice in career plans. Angela worships at North Terrace Church of Christ in Temple Terrace. She is involved with the bilingual work carried out by this congregation including teaching classes. She also hopes to be a part of the evangelization work being carried out in Africa and Asia.
